Crimson Tree

know it’s only Tuesday, but if you’re anything like me you’re already trying to sniff out where you’ll be heading for brunch when the weekend rolls around – and have I got the cutest recommendation for you!

Every once in a blue moon I leave our bustling city centre and wander further afield, and this time I found myself a seat at @crimson_tree in Sherwood.

With a bright yellow door that practically begs you to come inside and floral murals flanking you as you step through, this quaint little spot is a weekend brunchers dream, with fresh pastries lining the counter and dishes that are designed to delight.

There’s a mix of items on the menu, from the traditional Full English to the interest-piquing Persian Eggs with Lebanese Flatbread, which I’m desperate to go back for soon.

But this time around I fancied something a bit sweet, so it was French Toast topped with bacon and maple syrup for me and it was a total winner! I only ever wish that I was given about 5 times the amount of maple syrup, because I am greedy and my sweet tooth knows no bounds.

Tom tucked into the Full English, a massive plate laden with bacon, eggs, a sausage patty, black pudding, tomatoes, toast, potatoes, beans, and a mushroom. If you’re the Full English type, this is definitely one that’s going to fill your boots.

( I can 10/10 recommend stealing some of those potatoes and dunking them into your maple syrup, just FYI)

All in all, I absolutely adored Crimson Tree – the playlist was SENSATIONAL, the staff were lovely, the food was gorgeous, and the decor is stunning. Literally what more could you want?
